What is MyRepublic Everywhere?

MyRepublic Everywhere travel roaming service offered by MyRepublic consisting of MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi and MyRepublic Everywhere eSIM services. Pocket WiFi is a portable Wi-Fi device that allows you to stay connected via data anywhere desired. When switched on, it creates a wireless hotspot which anyone in the vicinity can connect to, with a password.

MyRepublic Everywhere covers up to 87 countries worldwide.

 

How can I sign up for MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

You may download the app from Google Play Store / Apple App Store or via order.everywhere.myrepublic.net to browse through the available plans and proceed with the sign up.

 

What functions are available in the MyRepublic Everywhere App?

You can manage your devices, track orders,  track usages (only for Pocket Wi-Fi, eSIM will only be available at a later date), update details, place new orders and contact customer support. 

 


What are the devices that can connect to MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

The device works with any Wi-Fi-enabled device, such as laptops (e.g. Windows & Mac), smartphones (e.g. iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone) tablets (e.g. iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Kindle) and anything else that can connect to Wi-Fi (e.g. game consoles).

 

Can I make a phone call with MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

No, the device only serves as a portable Wi-Fi device to provide data connection when connected. 

 

How many devices can be connected to MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi?

You can connect up to 8 different devices to one Pocket Wi-Fi. Please note that the connection speed will be shared among each device connected, so having five devices connected at the same time could result in speed slowing down.

 

How long does the battery last?

The Pocket Wi-Fi with a fully charged battery will last up to 15 hours while connected to one device. The device can be charged via a USB or wall outlet.

 

Is there a deposit required for MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi? 

No, there is no deposit required for the launch.

 


Can I rent MyRepublic Everywhere Pocket Wi-Fi on behalf of someone else?

Yes, you may sign up on behalf of someone else for day passes only. Just insert a different delivery address to arrange delivery to others! However, you are not able to sign up on behalf of someone else for monthly plans, as we require Singpass verification upon delivery to activate the device.

 

How far in advance should I book?

To ensure availability of our Pocket Wi-Fi, we recommend placing your order at least 7 working days prior to your travel departure date

 

Upon placing an order, when will my Pocket Wi-Fi arrive?

Your Pocket Wi-Fi will be delivered within 3 - 5 working days before your travel date. Local delivery is chargeable at $6.50. After adding the device, you will be able to see your connected device, data will be automatically subscribed. You can manage the data plans using the app.

 

How can I return Pocket Wi-Fi at the end of my rental period?

At the end of your travel, return the device via the app. Pack the device and its accessories into the mailerbag provided and drop it into the SingPost mail box nearest to you. 

 

What happens if the Pocket Wi-Fi is not returned, is missing or damaged?

You will need to return the device within 14 days after you end the plan. A fee of SGD $50 will be imposed if the device is not returned. If there is any loss of or damage to the device, the following fees will be imposed respectively:

  • Loss, Damage of the following items  

    • MyRepublic Everywhere Wi-Fi Device       Charges (SGD): 50

    • Travel Pouch                               Charges (SGD): 10

    • USB Cable                               Charges (SGD): 10

 

How do I end my monthly plan?

You may whatsapp our support (+6580449434) 3 days prior to your next billing cycle to prevent the recurring charge for your next cycle.

How do I use the Pocket Wi-Fi?

Turn On Portable Hotspot Device, Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
(if you cannot turn on the portable hotspot device, please charge the device and wait for device to be fully charged)

Connect To Wi-Fi
Find the Wi-Fi network name and password at the back of the device and connect your device under Wi-Fi setting. 

Wi-Fi Name: MyRepublic_XXXXXX (SSID)

Password: stated under SSID at back of device

When will the deposit be processed?

Refunds will be processed within 4 - 6 weeks upon return and checking of the device. The refund amount will be credited to the credit card saved in your account.    

Note: We are not collecting deposit for the time being.

 


eSIM


What is eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card that can replace a physical SIM card. So instead of waiting to receive your physical SIM card, you can install an eSIM to your mobile device to get your service activated instantly.

 

When should I set up my eSIM after my purchase?

It is recommended that you set up your eSIM only when you arrive at the destination as the start date of the eSIM will be on the day you activate the eSIM. Do note Wi-Fi connection is required to complete the installation process. Please activate the eSIM within 30 days from purchase.

 

Can I keep my own number active while I have the eSIM installed in my phone?

Yes! If your phone supports dual SIM. You can adjust the settings of your phone and set mobile data to be utilized from the eSIM. Do ensure you turn off data roaming for your own number to avoid incurring other data roaming charges from your own number. 

 

Can I make a phone call with the eSIM?

No, the eSIM only provides roaming data connection.

 


What are the compatible devices for the eSIM?

Devices not supported:

  • Carrier-locked phones
  • Apple watches
  • iPhone XR, XS, and 11, 12, and 13 models purchased in Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.
  • iPhone with 2 physical SIM card slots.
  • Samsung S20, S21, and certain series models originate from the USA and Hong Kong.
  • Certain Samsung devices from Canada.
  • Pixel devices purchased in Australia & devices on Android Q Beta versions. 

Please get in touch with your local carrier/local device brand store to ensure your devices are eSIM capable.

SIM Installation Guide

To activate eSIM, Wi-Fi or Data connection is required

Apple / iOS:

1. Go to Settings, Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Tap on "Mobile Data" or "Cellular"

3. Tap on "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan" or "Add Data Plan"

4. Tap "Use QR Code" & Scan eSIM QR below

5. Enable Data Roaming and you will be connected.

 


Samsung/Andriod:

1. Launch Settings > Connections.

2. Tap SIM card manager.

3. Select Add mobile plan.

4. Add using QR code, and then scan the QR code.

5. Enable Data Roaming and you will be connected.

 

Note: Make sure you have a stable internet connection while installing the esim. You can install the esim on the day or at least a day before leaving for your destination.
